About Jesmond Geordemaina

Jesmond Giordemaina, born on 13 July 1966, is a Maltese wrestler who represented Malta in several major international competitions. He competed in the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics, showcasing his skills on the world’s biggest sporting stage. In addition to his Olympic appearances, he also participated in the 2002 Commonwealth Games held in Manchester, where he competed in the 60 kg freestyle category and finished in 5th place. Beyond his competitive career, Giordemaina has remained actively involved in the sport, contributing to the development of wrestling in Malta through coaching and leading national teams in international tournaments such as the England Wrestling Championships, the UWW Città di Sassari event in Italy, and Mediterranean-style competitions in Cyprus.
