About Carmel Muscat

Carmel Muscat was a cyclist who represented Malta at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He competed in both the individual road race, where he did not finish (DNF), and the 100-kilometre team time trial, where Malta placed 20th. Muscat was affiliated with Mosta Cycling Club and remained connected to the local community in Naxxar, where he lived. Tragically, he passed away in a workplace accident at the Floriana Park & Ride, where he was employed as a driving instructor with Malta Public Transport. His death was widely reported in the Maltese media, and he is remembered for his contribution to Maltese cycling and Olympic history.
