Members of the MOC Athletes’ Commission recently took part in a clean up of Riviera Bay in collaboration with Happy Pot and the Malta Surf & SUP Association. Happy Pot is an organisation involved in the promotion of cleaner environments and a greener earth and together they embarked on the initiative to clean up the Bay from plastic, wood, and all kinds of debris found on the sand and the surrounding area. “The MOC Athletes’ Commission strongly believes in the power of sport to help make a better world. The qualities that lead to success in sport – teamwork, determination, enthusiasm and commitment – can make all the difference when it comes to sustainability too” commented Eleanor Bezzina, Chair of the Athletes’ Commission. The organisers thanked Mgarr Local Council for their help in making this possible.
