Game 1: Malta B U16 vs Cyprus U18 – (5 -15):   It was evident that Cyprus were the stronger team physically. The game started off to be a balanced affair, and until the 2nd session score was 6-4 in favour of Cyprus. However, in the latter two sessions the Maltese started to feel the fatigue, and the Cypriot team capitalized with some strong play in the centre, which earned them a number of penalties, all converted, and some good shoots from the semi-circle. Game 2: Malta A U16 vs Cagliari (ITA) U18 – (8-9): The second game was a more balanced affair with fast swimming from both sides, with the Maltese side playing a pressing game, whilst the Italians pressed but at times changed to an effective zone game. Score remained close throughout the game, which was won by the Italians with two goals in the last session which ended the game with a one goal advantage for Cagliari. The Maltese missed two man up situations in the end which could have levelled the game, however did not convert. The Malta Invitational Games are supported by  Sport Malta, APS Bank, National Lottery and General Soft Drinks.
