The Maltese Olympic Committee welcomed the new AiMS Chief Executive Officer, Jean Claude Micallef, to its headquarters for the first official meeting since his appointment to this position. During the meeting, various matters were discussed that concern not only the Maltese Olympic Committee but also all the Associations and Federations recognized by the MOC. Several topics were discussed amongst which the process and methodology of educating athletes on issues such as anti-doping, match manipulation, and possible new ways to reach out to more athletes, not just those listed as elite athletes. The Maltese Olympic Committee, through its Secretary-General Kevin Azzopardi, presented several suggestions on how collaboration can be improved between all entities involved in the process of registration of sports organizations. Also present at the meeting were the President of the MOC Julian Pace Bonello, Dr. Lucienne Attard, Director, and Charlene Attard, Sports Director. The AiMS Chief Executive Officer was accompanied for this meeting by Sandro Micallef, Head of Communication & PR at the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sport.
