The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) held its Elective General Assembly today, reaffirming the leadership team that will steer the organisation for the coming term. The key roles of President, Deputy President, Director of Sport, Director of Finance, and Secretary General were uncontested. Julian Pace Bonello, Paul Sultana, Kevin Azzopardi, Charlene Attard retained their roles whilst Joanne Cassar will now take on the role of Director of Finance, taking on the helm from David Azzopardi. Meanwhile, five candidates contested the remaining four positions on the Executive Board, resulting in a closely watched election process. With the results now confirmed, the composition of the Executive Board remains unchanged, with Lucienne Attard, David Azzopardi, Johanna Grech and Maria Vella-Galea retaining their place on the Board. The result reflects the confidence of the MOC’s stakeholders in the current leadership and their ongoing efforts to advance Maltese sport on both national and international levels. The MOC will now continue its work towards upcoming international competitions, athlete development programmes, and strengthening Malta’s presence within the Olympic Movement.
