The Executive Board of the Maltese Olympic Committee has taken note of the disciplinary action announced earlier today, by the Malta Football Association, against one of its member players. This athlete is also currently seconded by the Public Service with the Maltese Olympic Committee’s Secretariat. In line with the Maltese Olympic Committee’s strong advocacy of good governance in sport the person concerned is being temporarily relieved of his duties with immediate effect until the final outcome of this case on sporting and legal merits is made known.
