On day two of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) , taking place in Skopje, Macedonia,  Badminton player, Jeremy Gatt faced Norway’s Deeptanshu Toka. Gatt won the first set 21-17. The second set was closely contested, with Toka initially taking the lead; however, Gatt mounted a strong comeback to secure the match in straight sets with a final score of 21-16. In the afternoon, Gatt competed against Greece’s Zisis Pegios. Despite engaging in long rallies and showing a determined effort, Gatt was outmatched as Pegios won decisively in two sets, both with scores of 21-14. With these performances, Gatt completed his EYOF commitments, finishing third out of five athletes in Group Stage 3, where he narrowly missed advancing to the next stage of the competition Team Malta returns to action on Wednesday, 23rd July, with Michela Scerri competing in Taekwondo. She will take part in the Round of 32 in the -44kg category, with competitions starting at 9am.  Later, Thea Parnis Coleiro will be back at the athletics stadium to compete in the 200m heats, starting at 10:30 AM.
