The Maltese Olympic Committee recently hosted a celebratory evening to recognise the outstanding achievements of Team Malta’s medal winners at the 2025 Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra. During the event, athletes were presented with performance bonuses allocated according to the colour of the medal won and team composition. The evening served not only as a moment of recognition for the athletes’ commitment and success, but also as an opportunity to acknowledge the partners and organisations whose support makes Malta’s sporting progress possible. The MOC extended its gratitude to its sponsors — National Lottery, APS Bank and Deloitte — with particular appreciation for the National Development and Social Fund and SportMalta, the main contributors to Maltese sport and key supporters of athlete development. Speaking during the ceremony, MOC Director of Sport Charlene Attard congratulated all medal winners and highlighted the significance of their achievements: “These results augur well for the future, especially with the commitment and dedication shown by our athletes. We now look ahead to the 2027 Games in Monaco with the clear aim that Team Malta competes — not merely participates.” The evening underscored the pride, ambition, and forward momentum driving Maltese sport as preparations begin for the next Games.
