Carol Galea is a retired Maltese long-distance runner who made significant contributions to athletics in Malta. She represented her country at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as at multiple editions of the World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and the Games of the Small States of Europe. Known for her versatility and endurance, Galea competed in events ranging from 800 metres to the marathon. Over the span of her career, she secured several podium finishes, including a silver medal in the marathon at the 1997 Mediterranean Games and multiple golds at the GSSE. Despite a few setbacks, such as not finishing her Olympic marathon in 1996, she remained one of Malta’s most consistent and decorated athletes.
