About Frans Chetcuti

Frans Chetcuti, is a sport shooter who represented Malta at two editions of the Summer Olympic Games. He competed in the Trap Shooting event at both the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, where he placed 28th, and the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, finishing in a tie for 51st place. In addition to his participation as an athlete, Chetcuti also had the honour of serving as Malta’s flagbearer at the Opening Ceremony of the 1980 Olympic Games, a recognition of his status as one of the country’s leading sports figures at the time.
