Regatta Malta, previously known as Għaqda Regatta Nazzjonali u Qdif Ieħor, serves as the governing body for rowing and regatta events in Malta. Maltese regattas have been in existence since the early 1900s, whilst the modern format of the Maltese National Regatta began in 1951. The Association organizes various rowing competitions with the most prominent being the bi-annual Maltese National Regatta. This event takes place on two significant dates on the 31st March (Freedom Day) and the 8thSeptember (Victory Day). These regattas feature traditional fixed-seat rowing races held in the Grand Harbour and participants from different clubs compete in the Open Category and Category B. Each category comprises five races, with points awarded based on placement. The club accumulating the highest points wins the respective category. Beyond these major events, the association also supports other rowing activities, such as the Malta National Indoor Rowing Championships
