Malta competed at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games with seven athletes, including Mario Bonello and Carol Galea in athletics, Laurie Pace in judo, Andrew Wilson and John Tabone in sailing, Frans Pace in shooting, and Gail Rizzo in swimming. Carol Galea served as Opening Ceremony flag bearer, and Philip Psaila served as Chef de Mission.
